Question Of The Week, 8/17/08
Good morning. I have a good excuse (IMO) for not posting anything for a week. I've (We've) been busy. My Wife, Sue and I have agreed to be the Constitution Party of Missouri Co-Chairs for Buchanan County. This will be on an interim basis until the October Convention. At that time a vote will be taken to see if we keep the position or not.
This weeks question deals with a statement a candidate for President from one of our two major parties made this past week. I have heard that (candidate) Senator John McCain said former Pennsylvania Gov. Tom Ridge's pro-choice position would not rule him out as a running mate. This weeks Question Of The Week is. Would a pro-choice running mate hurt or help the McCain campaign?
I'll post my answer in the Comment Section Tuesday morning.

Undeniably it would hurt. McCain made it very clear at the event in California yesterday that he was pro-life. Having a VP that is pro-choice is not going to win him any pro-choice voters.
However, it could cost him some pro-life voters.
Good luck with your new position.
I want to thank you for stopping by to answer this weeks question, "Would a pro-choice running mate hurt or help the McCain campaign? I have what I feel is a very good reason for taking a 100% pro-life stand. I was born in 1950 and put up for adoption at birth. If you look at my Birth Certificate it shows my birth Mothers name and says father un-known. That leads me to believe my birth Mother was un-wed. I have a feeling that an un-wed Mother would have been looked down on in 1950. My birth Mother may have made some mistakes in her life but as far as I know (We have never met) she was not a murderer. She carried me full term and gave me a chance to live. I do not question rather she was pro-life or not. I can't say that about McCain. This Saturday, February 02, 2008 LefemineforLife.net post might help explain why I'd say that, http://lefemineforlife.blogspot.com/2008/02/john-mccain-is-not-pro-life.html. I feel picking a pro-choice running mate combined with McCains record will drive away pro-life voters.

McCain choose Sarah Palin as her running mate because of this the white woman will surely vote for John McCain. See http://assistedlivinglittlerockarkansas.com
