Letter From An American Soldier
I got an E-mail from Brent Bozell, founder & president of the Media Research Center asking me to forward this Letter From An American Soldier to everyone on my E-mail list. I was also ask to send along a little note urging them to sign a petition which demands the media tell the truth. After I did that I wanted to take it a little farther and ask you to read the letter and sign the petition. I know the anti-war groups have a right to speak out, but from what I have read about some of the things a few of them have done I'd rate them right up there with Jane Fonda and the anti-war protesters that spit on returning Vietnam Veterans and called them "baby killers". Actions like these will never get my support.

Illegal immigrants are a huge problem no doubt about it. I am a Latino but I have a much different view of things from where I am culturally. My family's history come from New Mexico, my great grandfather saw this land become America around him since our family has been here for centuries. I love that whites, black, asians and even the french are among my neighbors and I don't care that America is a nation that was "founded" by Europeans but there is a lot of hypocracy to be sorted out before people get pissed over immigration. Illegal immigrants and ESPECIALLY people who hire illegal immigrants should be arrested. If there were strict penalties for employers who hire illegals then there would not be illegals because there would be no work. I live in the largest agricultural area in the country and the population where I live is predomiantly illegal immigrants so I know of what I speak. I'll let you in on few little known secrets about Mexican Illegal immigrants, they always pay their bills on time, there clothes are always super clean and smell of fabric softner, their children are well mannered and theirs sons are dying in Iraq for folks like you and your family. I'm not pissed over your views but yous should know who is protecting your freedom to have them.
I was really very excited about the protests of the handling of the Iraq war in Washington DC and so I watched some of the events on C-Span. There were some people that had a real idea of what was going on and what needed to be done such as Ralph Nader but others handled the event as some big party in which they could insult the Republicans about Katrina and global warming and so on.
The point I guess I am trying to make is if you want to get someone to agree with you calling them names and acting like a ten year old will not accomplish anything.
Also I read the link and the sad thing is that there are people protesting the dead soldiers funerals.
In many ways the Anti-War movenment has nothing to do with the war at all and is a bad joke which hurts the people both for and against the war who are trying to solve the problem.
