Crime: The Open Borders Lobby's Dirty Little Secret
Every once in a while when I read or hear something on the subject of illegal immigration someone will say after all this is a country made up of illegal immigrants. They tell us we should let them (illegal aliens) stay in the country, after all they are just trying to make a better life for themselves and their families. Over and over, I've heard the claim made that they are not a real threat to our jobs. After all they are doing the work that United States born citizens don't want to or won't do anyway. I'm not so sure about that. Right now we have a lot of United States born citizens that have been displaced by the hurricane season. If you were to talk to some of these people right now you might find that they would be more than happy to take one of these jobs that no one wants to do. Illegal aliens taking our jobs is not the real reason for this posting. Maybe some of these illegal aliens came here looking for a better life but I'm not so sure all of them planned on working for this better life. If you feel illegal aliens are not a serious problem I hope you will take the time to read this Front Page Magazine article. If you have friends or family members that feel this is not a problem please share the article with them.

I think they are a problem. And I think border security is a huge problem. And I also think that this country was built on immigrants, illegal and legal.
I do believe we have a reason to fear this new influx of illegal immigrants.
I think many if not most are good hard working people but we need to at least know who is comming into our country because to be honest a murderer or a terrorist with a dirty bomb has no business in our country.
llegal immigrants are a huge problem no doubt about it. I am a Latino but I have a much different view of things from where I am culturally. My family's history come from New Mexico, my great grandfather saw this land become America around him since our family has been here for centuries. I love that whites, black, asians and even the french are among my neighbors and I don't care that America is a nation that was "founded" by Europeans but there is a lot of hypocracy to be sorted out before people get pissed over immigration. Illegal immigrants and ESPECIALLY people who hire illegal immigrants should be arrested. If there were strict penalties for employers who hire illegals then there would not be illegals because there would be no work. I live in the largest agricultural area in the country and the population where I live is predomiantly illegal immigrants so I know of what I speak. I'll let you in on few little known secrets about Mexican Illegal immigrants, they always pay their bills on time, there clothes are always super clean and smell of fabric softner, their children are well mannered and theirs sons are dying in Iraq for folks like you and your family. I'm not pissed over your views but yous should know who is protecting your freedom to have them.
sylvi, there are good and bad people of all nationalities, one of my best friends is a Texas born Hispanic. His Grandparents were legal immigrants. Meaning they did all the paper work to enter the country without violating any laws. Something the illegal alien doesn't bother with. Its kind of like knocking on someones door and being invited in or just kicking the door in. One thing we can agree on is the companies that hire illegal aliens, very stiff fines would be in order.
