From Our Good Friends At China-Mart

First I want you all to know I had computer problems again Saturday. That's why there was no Question Of The Week this past Sunday. If all goes well there will be one this coming Sunday morning. I didn't even get to watch the last of The Constitution Party's Nominating Convention on the Internet and it sure wasn't covered by the local news. So until late last night (when I got the computer back) I didn't know that Dr. Chuck Baldwin will be the Constitution Party's Presidential candidate for 2008. Darrell Castle will be the party's Vice Presidential candidate. Chuck Baldwin was the party's Vice Presidential candidate in 2004 so I know something about him, I'll have to do some home work on Mr. Castle.

So, what does all of the above have to do with the title to this post, "From Our Good Friends At China-Mart"? Nothing, I just wanted to give you an update, but. I found something in my local paper that I thought was interesting. "You generally don’t hear topics like government economic policy and tax law pop up in everyday conversation. But two little words have changed that this spring: stimulus checks." (Continue Reading ) I don't know if they will be doing this at Wal(China)-Mart stores nation wide or if it's just a Saint Joseph, Missouri thing. I don't shop Wal-Mart, in fact I promised them I'd never be back the last time I was in one of the two stores they have here. I don't know for sure what it is that bothers me more about China-Mart, the fact that they don't want anything on their shelves that was made in the United States or the attitude of the people (From management on down) that work at our local shops. I know I'll keep that promise. Maybe I'll take my stimulus check over to my computer repairman and put that money back into our local economy. I just wish there was some way he could build me a new computer made of parts that were manufactured in the United States.

God Bless America, God Save The Republic.

Good write-up. I heard yesterday that asside from this-many of the retailers selling replicas of purses, jewelery and cloths unbeknownst to them that the money they make is being generated to terror groups and al-Qaeda. G-d help the Republic!

I also can't stand Walmart. The last 3 or 4 times I went there, the things I bought started fallling apart as I left the store or as soon as I took them out of the package, so I had to spend my precious own time standing in long return lines. As for "buy American," good luck! My Dad tried this for 3 or 4 decades and finally had to give up. Americans can't work hard enough to produce much of value any more. If it isn't produced by imported cheap South American labor, it's produced by the sweatshop labor in China. We're supposed to endlessly borrow and buy the stuff--although our capacity to do this anymore seems to gradually coming to an end.
