Advocates For Illegal Aliens Are Now Making Demands!

I thought this was kind of interesting. Advocates for the illegal aliens are no longer asking the United States government to give the illegals citizenship, they are demanding it. The illegals say they are opposed to any plan that doesn't give them the same rights as the other workers in the United States, and best of all. The Mexican government has threatened to file a lawsuit against the United States if the National Guard is used to protect our borders. This makes me want to support voting any legislator that doesn't take a tough stand on this issue out of office more than ever before. If they give in to the demands or leave the borders wide opened we might as well go ahead and run up the white flag, the United States, a nation of laws no longer exists.

God Bless America, God Save The Republic.

I think We the People might finally be waking up. In fact, We the People are so restless that the Senate actually approved a bill making English our official language. Apparently, so many of us are so fed up with Spanish-speakers colonizing our country and not assimilating that Senators universally recognize that "it would be 'political suicide' to appear to not support English-language dominance in the United States." If we can keep up this momentum, maybe we can put America back on top. We need to seriously reform our government, get rid of our oppressive tax structure, get our educaiton system to focus on reading, writing, and arithmatic instead of multi-culturalism, sensitivity, and self-esteem, and end our dependence on foreign nations for critical items.

People like you and me need to keep blogging, though, and make sure this sort of information gets out to the People. They know right from wrong, they just need to hear someone else say it so they feel vindicated -- they don't get that from the MSM. In fact, the MSM gives tells them up is down and right is wrong, so they grow timid and doubt their gut reaction. Bloggers need to keep doing their part, and we need to make sure the internet remains free so we can continue to do our part.

You got to love the double standard everyone applies to the United States, including United States senators. According to the Senate minority leader, proposing English as our official language is "racist". Does anybody know what Mexico's official language is? Spanish.

Thanks for your support..I'm really not in any life-threatening condition. Just with having my daughter spending the summer and having to undergo chemo..I won't have time to maintain my blog properly.

I'm with you, brother. SCREW those bastards. This is OUR land, and they will play by OUR rules.

Now, we've just got to make some "rules" and stand by them. Time for a third party, I fear.

The good news is, it's not a partisan issue - it's 90% of America versus the "Amnesty-Doers", and we WILL WIN.

You are SO American. Thank god you were born on the right side of the border. That makes you special, and everyone else can get f*cked.

You spent years and years working in Heaven to make sure you were born on the right side of the border, it is the sweat of your brow that kept you on the 'right' side of border and granted you American citizenship.

After all, who am I anyway? Some random Washington quoter, a former Marine, and a city official?

Nobody.

Josh Narins,

Generations of Americans have also worked hard to make America the respectable, desireable home that it is...what have illegal immigrants done? They have broken our laws to enter this nation, showing a strong disrespect for the laws of the land they claim to want to live in while bringing the quality of life down for everyone. If they want to come here, then they should do so legally. If too few are legally allowed to come here, then those who are concerned about that need to advocate allowing more LEGAL immigrants into the country, not bending back over for a quickie from those who do not respect our laws enough to work to be part of this country.

I've had the priviledge of knowing some incredible LEGAL immigrants who've worked very hard to come to this nation. They've worked very hard to STAY in this nation LEGALLY. And they've worked hard to CONTRIBUTE to this nation LEGALLY. They've improved their lives and this nation, and they managed to do so LEGALLY.

I have no sympathy for anyone who is not willing to obey the laws, yet expects to reap the rewards of living in this nation.

If you want American-style living irregardless of the border, then I really suggest you work on the OTHER side of the border to improve the quality of life down there. Advise these hard-working illegal immigrants to work hard improving their HOMELAND. That's what Americans have done for generations and that's what Americans will continue to do. If South Americans cannot do the same... If the Chinese cannot do the same... If Russians cannot do the same... Then in a very real sense they deserve what they get, Americans do not deserve to import their type of laziness. We have enough of our own problems that need our attention; we do not need to try to "fix it" for everyone else, too. Some things you just have to do for yourselves.

That's right, Stephanie. People born on the wrong side of a line that people draw on maps are bringing us down. It is their fault for being born there, and doubly so for trying to come here.

The gall of these people! You'd think they'd read the text at the Statue of Liberty which says something about "huddled masses, yearning to breathe free." Don't they know that's just propaganda?

We should pack Lady Liberty up and send her back to the French, it is sending the wrong message. How do I know? Just ask Stephanie.

Like I said, I don't have a problem with immigration. I have a problem with ILLEGAL immigration.

Immigration without any sort of controls means America doesn't exist any more. That's what those lines on those maps people drew mean. Here, you have the benefits of being an American. There, you don't. Erase that, and there are no benefits. If we have no borders, there are no limits. If there are no limits there are no benefits, because there is nothing left. Are all the "huddled masses, yearning to breathe free" going to fit within our borders? No, of course not. That's the majority of the world...so change the world, not the laws that give us a country to call home.

So, I have to ask: What are you doing for those who cannot come here? I work to up-lift those, give them a chance at opportunity by providing education and I do this on an income that is hovering right on the American poverty level. So, what do you do? Do you work for change? Or do you just bitch and moan about how uncivil it is to expect people to obey the law?

You speak of Lady Liberty. Do you know how many people were turned away from Ellis Island, because they did not fit the standards the United States government demanded? Do you know that names and identities were recorded for those who were allowed in? Even then we had measures of control to "establish Justice, insure domestic Tranquility, provide for the common defence, promote the general Welfare, and secure the Blessings of Liberty to ourselves and our Posterity." BTW, that's from the Constitution. You know, that pesky document that's the actual law of the land. It starts with "We the People of the United States..." not "We the People of the continents of America..."

Laws set limits on everyone. Non-citizens who do not obey the laws of this nation do not belong in this nation. Is it a matter of being born on the right side of a border? Only for those who's parents crossed the border illegally so their children can have America as their birth-right. I don't know about you, but my ancestors worked hard to make America a nation worth living in. They worked the fields, the worked the factories, and they gave their life-blood for this country. I continue in that tradition. For some, being an American is just about luck of birth, but for people like me its a life's work.

You think because the majority of Americans have a problem with illegal immigration that we should send back the Statue of Liberty? Tell that to the many LEGAL immigrants who have been welcomed by their fellow Americans because they worked hard to come here legally and worked hard to make a better life for themselves in their new home. That message is for them, not criminals who break the law to take something they have not earned. You slap the legal immigrants in the face every time you elevate criminals to the same position in which they have invested themselves - their money, their labor and their intelligence - to earn. The two are not equal under the law and they are not equal in the ethics and civilized behavior which they have demonstrated.

Lucky for all of you that your ancestors were allowed to LEGALLY immigrate into this country hundreds of years ago. Too bad no one asked the original inhabitants of this land how they felt about it. Convenient for you, isn't it?

Now you have "ownership" of this land and propose to decide who is entitled to live and work here? Americans work hard to be here, eh? Well, you should know, educated American, that slave labor is alive and well in this country and is done by illegal immigrants. Where do you think the lettuce and tomatoes for your salads come from? Your potatoes? Who washes the dishes at the restaurant? Who cleans your hotel room? Hard working Americans? Wake up. This country would collapse without all of the illegal immigrants who do the crap jobs in this country that no one wants.

As for your complaints over the Spanish language infiltrating your precious English-speaking country... Almost every country in this world has to learn English in addition to their native tongue. Do you think that is fair to them? Americans need to realize that they are not superior to any other country, race, or culture in this world. We are all people.

Any one who thinks they can curb illegal immigrants entering America by designating English as our official language is completely ignorant to what is really going on. The Mexican economy is horrible. There are no jobs to go around. People are starving. America is like a beacon of hope to these people. They see work here in America as their only way to survive and they will DIE trying to get here. When was the last time you were willing to DIE in order to feed your family? It's easy for people here to point fingers in their comfortable houses with modern technology and an abundance of food to feed their families. We certainly did not get all of these luxuries by picking potatoes in the fields, did we?

Unless you have been to Mexico and seen the conditions in which people are living, you have no right to judge. Your ancestors stole this country from the Native Americans (of which Mexicans are descended), so you really have no right to call this country your own, any ways.

In reply to anonymous, my ancestors (over 300 years)from several nations cleared swamps, hewed forests, broke their backs on plows, forged steel in hot factories, died in wars, lived in one room shacks, survived (or didn't) famines, invasions, raids, and diseases. Owned no more than a gun, a bed and a few pots and pans.

It has only been in the last 2-3 generations that we have beneffitted from all these sacrifices and now live with some degree of comfort. My point is that the comfort was paid for by all the generations that went before.

Now it is natural that other nations would like to have what we slowly built up from hard rocky dirt to steel skyscrapers.

Let them go through what we have gone through for 300 years and they can have the right to claim it.
