I have a short quiz I'd like you to take, it shouldn't take long, there are only ten easy questions. You can't pass or fail, it's something to get you thinking later.

(1) Are we losing our private property rights in the United States?

(2) Does the United States have a heavy progressive income tax?

(3) Are we losing our rights of inheritance?

(4) Can the property of emigrants and rebels be confiscated in the United States?

(5) Does the United States have a central bank?

(6) Does the United States government control communication and transportation?

(7) Does the United States government own factories and farms?

(8) Does the United States government control labor?

(9) Would you find corporate farms or regional planning in the United States?

(10) In the United States is there an opportunity for all children to get a free education at government controlled schools?

Did you answer yes to any of those questions? Do you know where the questions came from? I got the idea for the quiz from the Communist Manifesto (The 10 Planks of Communism). One of my favorite books " The Citizens Rule Book" refers to the Communist Manifesto as, "a misguided philosophy, which teaches the Citizens to give up their rights for the sake of the "common good," but it always ends in a police state." We are now told that Communism is dead. I don't believe that it is. I feel that Communism is alive and doing well right here in the United States.
