Wild And Free Hogs

I feel that some of the most dependent people on the face of the earth are right here in the United States. They count on the government to provide them with everything they need from the cradle to the grave. One cannot help but wonder how the most independent nation in the world became the most dependent. A friend E-mailed me a story today that helps in figuring that out. I forwarded it to Jerry Hughes and he read it during the first hour of his program. It's not hard to figure out how this happened when you compare the dependent citizens of the United States with the Wild Hogs Of The Okefenokee Swamp. Check it out, then decide if you are free or if you are about to be taken to the market.

God Bless America, God Save The Republic.

We American people sound very much like the pigs in the story. We become more dependent on the aid from the government and keep asking for more but the problem is when the money is gone how will we survive. It is almost impossible to live without taking the "free" money because everyone else is and we will be left behind if we do not.

This started about a hundred years ago and became worse about sixty when the Americans accepted the "New Deal."

Sorry to hear you got the crud too David.

Mine started out as a cold. Now, I never get sick. The last time I even had a fever was March of 2004, a year and a half ago. Anyhow, I think getting my wisdom teeth out weakened my immune system some (the dentist said it does) and that made me get a cold. The cold, in turn, opened the door for a strep throat infection. My doctor said he figures the strep was in my system all along but my healthy immune system kept it under control. When I got my teeth pulled and the cold, that weakened me enough to let the strep effect me as well. So basically I had a double wammy this weekend. Very icky and very painful. Thankfully it IS going away now. The cold is almost gone and the strep is getting better since I got on penicillin. Truly a week to remember. I reccomend lime sherbet, chicken-noodle soup, ice water and lots of vitaminc c.

I couldn't agree more about people totally depending on the government. It's not about education assistance or social security but it IS about people who are lazy and don't want to work. There are Katria victims that STILL haven't even looked for a job much less a source of non-charity housing. That's pure and simple abuse of the American people's hospitalit. I think we should require more accountability.

Good post.
