In Memory Of Retired Vice Adm. James B. Stockdale

I feel we lost a great American yesterday when Retired Navy Vice Adm. James B. Stockdale passed away. During the seven and a half years he spent as a Prisoner Of War in Vietnam he gave fellow POW's the strength and hope they needed to survive their ordeal. I hope you will take the time to go to this Department of Defense News Release to read about Retired Vice Adm. Stockdale, http://www.defenselink.mil/releases/2005/nr20050705-3886.html You will find a link to his bio there. I'd also like to ask you to say a prayer for him and his family.

God Bless America, God Save The Republic

He was a true hero! I felt so bad for the way he was ridiculed when he ran as VP with Ross Perot.

I've created a blogging project called "50 U.S. Blogs" and have linked to your blog. If this is a problem, leave a comment on my blog letting me know and I'll find another blog to put there to represent your state. Be sure to visit your state and any others that interest you, maybe you'll find a new blog to read. Thanks for your support! Happy Blogging!

As I previously shared with you, your blog was selected randomly to represent your state in my blog project "50 U.S. Blogs". The project is being expanded. I'd like to invite you to join us in doing a weekly focus on each state, starting with Alabama, where each blog owner can share about their state and their life, whether it be personal experiences, anecdotes, facts, or links to important areas in their state. In an effort to get that started, and to make the process easier, I need to collect everyone's contact information, namely email address and willingness to participate. Of course, authors are allowed to decline participation but that means I woud unfortunately have to seek another blog to represent their state, as I must continue to treat each blog the same to avoid an issue with favoritism. Please include the state you represent with your correspondence. Please email me from your personal email address where you with to receive correspondence related to this project and express your desire to participate or not. My email address is alwaysadventuring@gmail.com and I'm on Yahoo Instant messenger service as always_adventuring. I am not using any other services or user names for this project. Thank you very much for your support. Happy Blogging!

Whymrhymer, It seems to me that the true patriots are ridiculed quite often.I feel Vice Adm. Stockdale would have made a good VP. I have mentioned my friends Chuck and Mary Schantag of www.pownetwork.org in the past. They have been guest at the Perot home.

I got to do some reading, I got home from work and found out about the attacks in London.

God Bless America, God Save The Republic.

Good men are getting scarce. Now Vice Adm. James B. Stockdale is one truly worthy of awards and metals and a true patriot.

Yes, there are those not worthy, and not true patriots.

His family and his fellow countrymen (and women) are very proud he shared his life with us.
