Gun Scare/Part Of A Plan
After reading a March 27, 2005 Associated Press press article about a gun scare that closed part of Cincinnati's main airport of two hours I started having some thoughts that would make some people think I might be suffering from paranoia. The article said that baggage screeners noticed an X-ray image of what might have been a gun after someone picked up the bag and left the check point. Part of the airport was closed for two hours while officials searched for the person and the weapon, neither were found. Officials don't think the person boarded a plane because they would have had to go through security again to do that. The Transportation Security Administration (TSA) is trying to figure out why the screeners didn't notice the image sooner.
What could have happened here? I don't know would it be possible to have some things (more than one item) in a bag that were touching each other. When the bag was X-rayed screeners saw what they thought was a gun. When the person picked up the bag could the items have shifted so if the bag was X-rayed again screeners would see a different image? If that is possible the person could have boarded a plane unnoticed, no harm done.
Could this have been someone's well planned idea of a bad joke, kind of like yelling fire or bomb in a crowded building? If that is the case I hope they are caught and prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law. This is endangering lives.
Could the TSA be trying to catch screeners goofing off by having their own people plant bags with weapons to see if the screeners will spot the weapons. If that's the case they just caught some goof offs.
I saved what I think really happened for last. There was no bag with a gun in it. The person they were trying to find dose not exist. This whole thing was a hoax, part of a plan. If I'm right pretty soon now the TSA is going to announce that all of that security equipment that was installed in airports after 911 is already outdated. They will use this missing weapon and person for proof. They will need a budget increase to replace the outdated equipment. The needed money will come from you, the American tax payer.
God Bless America, God Save The Republic.
