Brady Campaign Ask To Tell The Truth

I just read an article that tells about the legislation that has been introduced that would restore Washington D.C. area residents right of self-defense. The legislation would end a 30 year old gun ban that has made the area's law abiding citizens the helpless victims of a countless number of thugs and thieves that know they are safe, their victims are unarmed. If passed this legislation could force them to find a new line of work. Of course the Brady campaign will be opposing this legislation as a part of their efforts to keep us all safe. At least that is the reason they give for supporting gun control. The article says, "The Citizens Committee for the Right to Keep and Bear Arms(CCRKBA) today challenged the Brady group to publicly acknowledge that it consistently supports bans on the private ownership of firearms, despite claims to the contrary." Alan Gottlieb of CCRKBA noted some of the Brady Campaigns history of supporting gun bans, "on lightweight handguns with polymer components, on sport-utility rifles, on large caliber target rifles, on big handguns because they are powerful, on small handguns because they are concealable, and on inexpensive handguns because people can afford them." Gottlieb suggested they change their name to the Brady Campaign to Eradicate the Private Ownership of Firearms. I agree with Gottlieb, everything that I have ever read about the Brady Campaign tells me that their number one goal is to disarm all law abiding citizens.

That's totally unbelievable that something like that lasted 30 years. I'll bet not even 10% of the gun owners in D.C. pay attention to that law!
