Judge Killed

I just finished listening to Jeffrey Bennett on-line, while listening I spent a little time in his chat room. While there one of his guest came in late and told about an Atlanta, Georgia Judge being shot and killed. He said that Judge Rowland W. Barnes was known as a good and honest Judge. It shouldn't matter if he was a good an honest judge or a corrupt one, this was a senseless act. I pray the person that did this is captured and punished to the fullest extent of the law soon. The friends, families and loved ones of all the people killed or wounded in this attack will be in my thoughts and prayers.

It might surprise some people to hear a judge referred to as good and honest. Yes there are good and honest judges, just as there are good and honest politicians. I'm sorry to say, but I'm sure you already know there are also corrupt judges and politicians. They are the ones I thought of soon after hearing about the shooting. I have a feeling that somewhere right now there is a corrupt politician figuring out how he can use this to his/her advantage. An anti-Second Amendment politician could see this as an opportunity to pass a new gun control law, maybe even name it after the slain judge, that would get the people to support it. If you think it couldn't be done think back to the Brady Bill. If I'm right and this happens the judge won't be remembered for the good and honest things he did as a judge. He'll be remembered as the reason gun owners lost more of their rights The anti-Second Amendment politician will be remembered for avenging the death of a good and honest judge.

I just don't feel that this is the government our Founding Fathers intended to leave us. It is however what we are going to have until we stop allowing corrupt politicians to pass laws that violate the constitution. The same politicians are the ones that vote to put corrupt judges on the Supreme Court were they can interpret the constitution which a part of was meant to protect us any way they see fit.

God Bless America, God Save The Republic.
