Ron Paul A Statesman

When I answered my most recent Question Of The Week I said that I felt United States Representative Ron Paul was a Statesman. I thought I'd show you a few reasons for that answer.

Thanks go to:

Although I like many things about Ron Paul, he is wrong about the ICC. He states:
"The ICC wants to try our soldiers as war criminals"

Well, as long as our soldiers aren't war criminals, the ICC won't be able to try them as war criminals. I don't see what the fear is here.

The ICC so far has tried few people. I see no evidence thus far that the ICC is at risk of overreaching its power. We need some type of international body to try war criminals. We tried the Nazis at Nuremburg, does anyone really think that was a mistake?

Hey David,

I'm trying to get back in the saddle (blog-wise).

I'll agree that Ron Paul talks a good game. However, I've seen far too many would-be-statemen sell their souls to get elected. Any assurance that Ron Paul isn't just another man who'd do anything for incumbency?

One of the things I like about Representative Paul is the fact that he considers what the United States Constitution/Bill Of Rights says before voting on an issue, http://www.house.gov/paul/congrec/congrec2002/cr022802B.htm . If I'm not mistaken that comment about Slobodan Milosevic was made before he went to court. We should be concerned about who is trying war criminals.

Welcome back Stephanie You've been missed.

Thank you. I have a blog up, but it's not de-bugged yet. When it is, I'll be making the rounds some more.
