RU-486 Alert
The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) is now reporting that seven women have died after taking the RU-486 abortion pill since the drug was approved in 2000.
I'm thinking now would be the time to contact the FDA and urge them to take this deadly drug off the market, before there are more deaths.

When a woman is aborting a fetus (also the medical term for miscarriage), competent medical assistance and supervision are essential.
RU-486 has no place in "impromptu" abortions.
As a woman, I can tell you that a woman is nearly helpless if hemorrhaging sets in. Death can happen very quickly, and the mind is impaired, with the result that the patient cannot make good decisions.
No matter one's convictions as to the morality or immorality of abortion, medical issues need to be considered.

Seven women in six years have died and I'm certainly sorry for their loss, however the percentages are telling. How many used RU-486 and didn't die? Is RU-486 truly an "impromptu" abortion method? Will banning Ru-486 a small foot in the door towards banning any pharmaceutical birth-control?
I don't have very good feelings toward the FDA after they refused my grandmother cancer medication because it could kill her.
That is why I think each individual state should decide medical issues.
A frequent liberal justification for legalized abortion is that people are going to abort their babies in back alleys and die from it if they can't go to a medical facility. Supporting this drug at the same time weakens their arguments to nothing. They're not interested in quality healthcare for women. They just want to end the life of a fetus whenever they wish.
Those women did not follow FDA-approved instructions for the pill-triggered abortion
