I have to agree with my friend who said Ford died last night because he couldn't bear to live in a world without James Brown.

James Brown died 10 years ago.. just nobody noticed.
When I first heard the announcement last night, the first thing I remembered about him was his ability to see through politics and do what's best for the country.
I wish more politicians could put aside politics like Ford did.
When he pardoned Nixon and then the draft evaders, he lost any chance of reelection but looking back it was the right thing to do.

An e-mail from The Patriot Post makes me think of President Ford.

Right now, I'm watching as they bring President Ford to the Capitol Rotunda. A subdued but dignified ritual.

May President Ford's family know God's peace during this time of mourning.
